We have a range of information you can share with families to help them access the right support after a bereavement.

The Twins Trust Bereavement Service is here to support parents and carers of twins, triplets or more who have experienced the loss of their babies, whether during pregnancy or after birth.

Here's some resources you can share to help families during this incredibly difficult time:

  • Twins Trust advice: Families will experience different types of bereavement and we have advice pathways tailored to each. Our bereavement site offers clear guidance, including on topics such as what to do when registering a baby's death, planning a funeral and the support available to help families through grief
  • Certificates of birth: Parents can apply for a baby loss certificate if their baby or babies have died before 24 weeks of pregnancy. This certificate can help acknowledge the loss and provide some comfort during a painful time. For those who can't receive these certificates, we have Twins Trust certificates of birth for different types of loss that they can download
  • Online support community: Encourage families to connect with others who truly understand. The Twins Trust online support community is open to all and offers a safe space for parents to share their experiences with others who have faced the loss of a baby or babies
  • Printed resources: For leaflets and further information you can print and share with bereaved families, visit the Information for professionals page

By sharing these resources and offering compassionate support, you can help families through their grief and ensure they have the information they need during this difficult time.
