The Saving Babies’ Lives Campaign raised an incredible £62,915. Here at Twins Trust, we were hugely grateful to everyone who took part in the important campaign, which ran from 12-13 March.
From those who signed up to have a fundraising page, to those who shared the campaign far and wide on their social media, we are so grateful. It means the world to us.
Things have to change: the risk of stillbirth is over twice as high in twins than singletons and the risk of neonatal death is over three times higher. Without this campaign, even more parents of multiples would be facing the unimaginable.
Multiple pregnancies are:
more than twice as likely to result in stillbirth
three times more likely to result in neonatal death
seven times more likely to need neonatal care
Over 36 hours everyone rallied round to help us reach our £50,000 target. It’s thanks to you all that we beat that target and will be able to help even more families with multiples.
We were able to match-fund the first £15,000 of gifts, thanks to the generosity of partners, including our lead sponsor Leigh Day.

Shauna Leven, Chief Executive of Twins Trust, said: “We're simply blown away. Our Saving Babies' Lives Campaign raised £62,915. That's extraordinary and it's all thanks to you, our amazing community, who supported us in an unprecedented way. Over 1,200 people donated and we smashed our £50,000 target.
“It was amazing watching the campaign being shared by so many people, reminding everyone that we're a charity that needs funds to keep delivering our services and support.”
Our multiples’ community has helped us through the crippling cost of living crisis. We’ll now be able to double the number of hospitals we’ll work with this year. A huge thanks for being there and helping our campaign grow.
